One journey. Two worlds.
Two weeks in an Alberton log cabin.
Paige first started writing the novel roughly twenty-five years before completing it. In May 2025, she rented a log cabin in Alberton, Montana, and spent two weeks there by herself finishing the manuscript.
A desk, a woodstove, and the surrounding wilderness gave the story its final place to settle. It was a fitting end to a writing journey that had always been called back to Montana.
